Costa del Sole
For nature lovers
The area of Chiessi is part of the Costa del Sole, which is characterized by the large quantity of granite and Mediterranean maquis. Enchanting coves with equipped beaches, cliffs and beaches that can only be reached on foot or by sea.
Breathtaking views and endless sunsets provide unforgettable experiences.
Sea caves, sunken wrecks, backdrops of incomparable beauty make up the underwater world.
For lovers of the sea and diving we recommend the club Il Careno, which consists of a group of divers and their deep passion for the sea. The sea, a good friend, great attraction, a passion, a magic, diving philosophy is the spirit of the place.
The village is located in one of the most beautiful areas with unbelievably transparent sea. The beach of Chiessi is about eighty meters wide and, like most of the nearby beaches, is characterized by a gravel floor. On the sides of the beach are smooth rocks and often almost flat, mostly very comfortable for sunbathing.
Chiessi is well known among windsurfers for the afternoon wind that rises 400 meters from the beach.
In Chiessi you can dive and snorkel to discover the marine fauna and flora, with beautiful cliffs that sink into the clear waters.
There are several beaches along the west coast, which can be reached from Chiessi in a few minutes by car or boat.
Punta Nera: Small but beautiful bay, which is clearly visible from the main road. Not accessible by land, it is a niche of tranquility that is very much appreciated by boaters.
Campo Lo Feno: A series of sunny beaches, more or less interconnected, with long stretches of round stones smoothed by the waves. Ideal for those who have a boat or value privacy more than comfort.
Patresi Mare: Easy to reach on foot or by car from the road leading from La Guardia. There is a beach made up of large stones and coarse gravel and a bar. The beach is dominated by the lighthouse.
Spiaggia delle Buche: The beach can be reached on foot over a path, from Colle d’Orano Square you continue on a paved road that leads you to the lower part of the village. The car starts with a path where there is a holm oak, which takes you in 15 minutes to the sea, in a beautiful rocky bay with crystal clear water.

It is visited by a variety of divers and snorkellers.
Spiaggia de Il Giardino: Two special beaches in terms of color and landscape. They are hot because dark gravel absorbs the sun’s rays, but the area is well ventilated.
